In 2004, Aura's creator Rebecca Merrifield began day-dreaming about creating her own gorgeous boutique brand of cosmetics soon after leaving University. She had always been crazy about make-up and felt sure there was a gap in the market for a fresh and edgy boutique brand in the UK. Soon the daily day-dreams turned into researching and after 6 months she began to develop the products. Two years later, after much hard work and determination, the range was complete and Rebecca opened the first Aura Boutique in her hometown of Derby. ?I took so long to ensure everything was done right - I believed that the perfect make-up would combine soft, silky textures with eye-popping yet wearable colours and innovative packaging and design. In short, a range of products which would stand out on any dressing table?. The result is a very fresh range, girly yet with a definite edge, perfect for the modern British woman.
There are seven beautiful products in the Aura range; each has its own distinct theme which resulted from the many different images and ideas which inspired the creation of each product. Rebecca believes it's important to keep make-up light-hearted, ?it shouldn't be serious and intimidating, it's something to experiment and have fun with?. This philosophy was extended to the packaging, which was designed to be striking and eye-catching. The result is seven products which are unique and different yet are undoubtedly "Aura".
The buzz surrounding Aura is growing day by day, as customers tell their friends how much they love the products and make-up artists recommend it to their clients and colleagues. Rebecca's aim now is to spread the Aura word as far as possible, to develop more beautiful Aura products and to open more stunning Aura Boutiques in select locations to ensure every woman has access to Aura.
